I didn't watch the pageant this past weekend, but have read plenty about it over the past few days. Does anyone else just want to give Miss California a hug? The poor girl is being lambasted by the media and supposed "friends" over her answer to the question. If you missed it and haven't seen any coverage of this, here's a video from YouTube:

Could someone release a positive statement of support on this already? Makes me wanna send the girl some fan mail.

Um, yeah. If there are opinions that aren't allowed on those kinds of show questions then maybe those questions shouldn't be asked. Duh.

Poor girl. I did see a lot of public comments being left on the FoxNews site when they ran the story yesterday. Many of those comments were expressing their support for that young lady.

Poor thing, she got railed. I am so proud of her that she had the courage to stick to her guns in a time now that hers isn't the popular opinion.

I hadn't seen that yet, but saw all the news clips about it! I think her answer was tastfully given and I am really in SHOCK that someone from Cali would even have that opinion!!:) GOOD FOR HER!

Loved that article Jan! And on CNN nonetheless!

I am so happy that she comprimised her crown in the name of honesty! For the judges, why bother asking a subjective question if you do not want someones honest opinion!
