Time for everybody out there to get talking again! :) I'm ready to get my nose back into a good book. I've requested the books in the Twilight series from the library, but literally... I'm number 87 in line to get the first book. I need some suggestions!

I have been reading books by Kristen Heitzmann. So far I have read: Halos, A Rush of Wings, Secrets & The Rose Legacy & right now I am reading Unforgotten. Happy book hunting! I am trying to read 2 books a week while Rob is gone, so if you have any recommendations I would love to have them!
Are you looking for good fiction or non-fiction? I've been reading Desiring God by John Piper and it is amazing so far, but it is a non-fiction. As far as fiction goes, if you are looking for something similar to Twilight genre(which I know well thanks to my mom and sisters!), The Uglies series is really good (Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras). And The Host by Stephanie Myers was also good. Also, I like Ted Dekker, but he's a little strange... in a good way, but I like it so it works for me. Hope this helps a little bit :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAIYA!!!! :)
I have noticed that there is no birthday post, as of yet, and so I must leave my celebrations on a post about books. (apropos, for me actually). But, I'm sure you will be posting pics of Kaiya's big day and some sort of fruit concoction that you've convinced her is cake, so whenever those pictures arrive, I'll leave another note.
Until then, HB to you, HB to you, HB dear Kaiya, HB to you!!
I read the Twilight Series, and loved it! I wished I would have known you had to get on a waiting list - because I could have sent you the books, instead of Al's neice. I started Slumdog Millionaire (was Q&A), but it's not worth reading, in my opinion. I am on book 5 of the Yada Yada Prayer Group Series. This is a great series if you like a little action, a little gospel, and a little diversity. It's about a group of women that have been thrown together via a Women's Conference, and they come from all sorts of backgrounds, from drug addict and jailbird to school teacher and Asian college student and from the ghettos of Chicago to the suburbs of Chicago. Check it out! I bought some of the series on Ebay - used books and paid less than $5 a piece with free shipping!
