Would you rather have a day of rain or snow?
I don't know if it comes from being raised on the Oregon Coast, but I'm partial to rain. I love the sound it makes falling on the house and the splashing sound cars make as they drive past. When we lived in Florida last year, I loved how you could count on that 3 p.m. thunderstorm every day. I have a precious memory of taking Kaiya outside during one of these rainstorms and splashing in the driveway and street. It was such a downpour, the drops were huge and there was a mini-river gushing down the street. Kaiya, Tony and I splashed each other, kicked water in the air, danced and got drenched. Our neighbors probably thought we were crazy, but I'm convinced Kaiya thought we were the coolest parents ever. And really... these were our neighbors.
So... let them call us weird. :)I can't argue, snow is beautiful - at first. Then it just gets cold and messy. So for me... I'd take a rainy day over a snowy day. How about you?

I personally LOVE the snow, it is such a treat b/c we hardly ever see it. I love all the hype that goes a long with it as well. School's close, the grocery stores run out of the necessities and the gas pumps are slammed. I love it! I will admit after reading your rational behind a rainy day I am starting to think they are great also! It is raining here today and I would love nothing more than to climb into bed and listen to it rain!
I was LOL at your neighbors. They remind me of the neighbors in the movie Fireproof! They probably looked at you guys just like the neighbors looked at Kirk Cameron when he was bashing the computer.
hmmmm. How sad is it that I don't realy like either? I want sun and warm ALL the time!:) I think maybe I live in the wrong state! I love to go out and play with the kids in the sun....riding bikes, swinging,going on walks, swimming in the pool. I love how they have to squint and get all tan...I cannnot wait for srping..seriously!

Good question, Rachel. At first I was going to say rain, but then I realized that we rarely see either here in New Mexico, so I'm not sure. I LOVE the sunshine, but a rainy or snowy day make for a great excuse to stay inside and be lazy. So I guess I'd take either one!
DEFINITELY rain if i had to pick one. my favorite sound other than than piano is rain. but im with connie...sun is perfect too :)

I don't like preciptation at all.......does this mean I'm off the blog list now?? :) Heh heh.
I like the rain & the snow. But I only like them from the inside looking out. :) Rain gives the earth the bath and refreshment it needs. And snow provides a pretty blanket over the dead, cold, frozen earth.
How's that for being positive? :)
